Delicious Doodles zebras, so so delicious

Beautiful image this by Delicious Doodles. I have made this card using some of my new papermania papers and some black bazill card. The black and white checked ribbon is from my stash as are the pretty butterflies. The gorgeous large flowers are also papermania, as is the wee black one under the buttons.
The buttons have been attached using some hemp.

The sentiment is from Stampin Up and the die is also from SU. I used a scrap of organza ribbon to make a bow as I felt it needed something as it floated around in the black space.

Simply layered the inside area.

Took an extra photo when the sun briefly came out. xx

Cheeky chimps anniversary love

An image from the Digi Stamp Boutique which I have coloured with my PM's and glittered with stickles.
Which I have to confess has already left the building and I very nearly forgot to photograph it so that I could share it with you. Life is fairly hectic in the Mainland household at the moment.
It is an Anniversary card for my parents who are celebrating their 45th this year, so went for the blue colours cos I found out it is meant to be celebrated with sapphire, of course then I remembered that you can actually get pink and green sapphires as well, but think the blue was the right choice.

I found some pretty little white heart brads to put in the centre of the flowers made from prima and also some from the pound shop from last year.(the gold ones).
The ribbons are velvet and are from my stash box, as is the snippet of lace and the gold thin ribbon bows which I tied and then fixed with two tiny gold brads(dropped one of these and it is officially mia, they are so tiny)
The large piece of organza ribbon with gold edging is from a box/present, so a bit of recycling there too!

Nearly forgot to mention the giant DCWV brad, these are gorgeous, one of those items you almost don't use cos you love them so much (you all know what I mean!!!)
The papers are freebies, papermania and a couple small snippets of gold from my stash that are so old their make escapes me?

Wedding Album using papermania, DCWV & LOTV

Used Lili of the valley stamp and papermania papers. A die cut sentiment, some pretty pearls I got given from my friend for my birthday and a mixture of gorgeous ribbons, some very old and some very new.
Close up of image, coloured with my promarkers.

Close up of pretty ribbons.
Lots of brads, gems and a little lace.
Stamped 'love' sentiment and again coloured using promarkers.
Used some more of the pretty papermania flowers and attached with a DCWV butterfly brad.
More formal layout for a couple of larger pictures, again brads to finish.
I used my lace trim border punch to add detail to the plain page.
I cut out some hearts using my x-cut dies. I used pigment chalks to edge and some satin ribbon attached with some pretty little brads.
More ribbon at the edge secured with brads and an acetate sentiment attached using even more bradlets.
Close up of die-cuts and faux stitching.
Tags and flowers and also I wove the satin ribbon in and out of the holes that I punched.
Again with the woven ribbon! (and how is it you think you have gotten rid of all those little squares from the back of your raised pads and then suddenly there they are again).
Gorgeous DCWV brad, more faux stitching and an acetate sentiment.
More tags
ditto
Close up of romance sentiment
&
at last the back page.

Christmas Window Hanger

Hmm, well I do hope you can get the gist of this christmas window hanger that I have designed. Photographing it threw up a few problems. As it is made using acetate it was difficult to see on the table. I have used a nestability large size for the acetate shape, then I have stamped onto it with Brilliance, an archival pigment ink pad by tsukineko. I have gently filled with my Promarkers and added a couple of gems for a little bling. All around the edges I have used stickles glitter and have joined them together using some thin gold braid.

Then last of all I lightly edged them with a black colorbox pigment chalk.
The stamps I used are old ones and they are both from Papermania.

I am entering this into
Paperplay ch '11-wk5 - Stamp it out
By the Cute and Girly - Red + 1 other colour (I chose Green and for some reason the red gem looks pink!! go figure)
ABC Challenge - N is for Nesty
Christmas Card Challenge Blog 2011 Wk 9 - Use Transparency
