Tilda Loves Friendship

I love this tartan kanban card, have used some as the base for the card and have layered up with a very dark blue (not black as it was too harsh).

Tilda is giving a lady bird gift and a butterfly has come to visit.

The Peel off is gold coloured to match the gold inked 'love is' stamp and I have coloured Tilda with my promarkers. Under Tilda is a large Red ribbon.

Love is .....

finding a perfectly wonderful image to play with for this PB Saturday challenge (wk 137) and also a stamp with 'love is' on it, great eh?
I have coloured hedgy and his standard rose heart bush, with my promarkers, I have layered up with some black and white kanban tartan card and two muted pink papers from my stash.
I stamped the 'love is' directly onto the pale pink and used some peel offs for the 'blooming'.
I have tried to stay as clean and simple as I could as I am entering this card into a new challenge being held at Less is More and their first challenge is Black Pink and White.
The other challenges are as follows
Penny Black at Allsorts February Challenge (2nd entry) - Say it with flowers

Heartfelt Just for Fun

I just found this image in my 'old stuff' box, and it made me think of the challenge over at Just for Fun, which this week is Heartfelt with a monthly theme running through everything of 'Wings', perfect eh?
So I have followed the current Critter Sketch (see below) using mostly white cos I wanted the main focus to be on the image, but then the all white effect was too much so I swapped the gingham and satin white ribbon with a couple of more robust colours and added in the red grossgrain and the lace with hearts.
I have coloured with my promarkers and highlighted the heart with sparkly glitter glue and hand written the sentiment. I also added stickles to the raised parts of the stars that I cut out using a sizzix green die and then embossed.

Christmas Window Hanger

Hmm, well I do hope you can get the gist of this christmas window hanger that I have designed. Photographing it threw up a few problems. As it is made using acetate it was difficult to see on the table. I have used a nestability large size for the acetate shape, then I have stamped onto it with Brilliance, an archival pigment ink pad by tsukineko. I have gently filled with my Promarkers and added a couple of gems for a little bling. All around the edges I have used stickles glitter and have joined them together using some thin gold braid.

Then last of all I lightly edged them with a black colorbox pigment chalk.
The stamps I used are old ones and they are both from Papermania.

yippee I've won cool stash!!

This wonderful image is of course a meljens design, I seem to be so in to these digi's at the moment. Just as well as I won 4 most excellent images from the Magical Monday Challenge a couple of weeks ago, I also won on the Teddy Stampers, but am still waiting to hear/receive a surprise parcel from Michelles Scrapbooking and More ( I love surprises), and to top off the winning streak, I won sassy stamp candy at Kruemel aka Kathrin's Blog and then if that wasn't enough, I was drawn for the Simon says voucher over at Papertake Weekly. Now I don't normally mention my lucky draws, but I wanted to say thankyou to all of them for offering us all the chance to win stash etc on their wonderful challenges.
So THANK YOU VERY VERY MUCH.

Unfortunately the lottery tickets didn't come in (my hubby said the luck virus had obviously worn off by then, too much Red Dwarf watching if you ask me!)

Anyway, if you have managed to read all the above and are not bored stiff by now or green with envy at my current good luck, seems to go in waves doesn't it?, then I will tell you about my card.

I started with the image, coloured with my promarkers and edged with my colorbox chalks, also used one of my corner punches for a change to add a little more detail.

I am trying to do a 'No embellishments' card and boy is it difficult, not to add the little extras. I used some Basic Grey paper/card to layer up with from the 'Hang 10' designs from a while back. I lifted the round tag (which I embossed) up to add dimension and popped on a sentiment peel off.

I am entering this card into:-

Anniversary love and hugs

I have coloured this leanne ellis/sugar nellie image with my promarkers, layered up following the sugar bowl sketch and used my oval punch from woodware to create a butterfly shape under the image. The vellum has words like dream, relax, believe in fairies etc, really lovely sentiments. The Happy Anniversary is a peel off and I have faux stitched around the sentiment label. The patterned papers come from papermania capsule collection, and the yellow plain paper is from my stash. Instead of using paper as part of the sketch I have stamped wee leaves, flowers and butterflies in its place.

This card is for my aunt and uncles anniversary so it will be written and off in the post very shortly for this weekend.

All Creatures great and small ....

The title is the theme of Sir Stampalot's February Challenge, and luckily for me this Penny Black image has a great big bear on it and a little bird, so that was perfect. I have coloured him in using Promarkers and have followed a sketch (See Below).

Before punching out the flowers I embossed using a TimHoltz folder and attached using brads and 3d squares, adding chalk to the edges before popping on the card.

Three papermania green gems were added to the top lhs and two buttons and a wee LOTV sentiment circle was popped on the bottom lhs (as per sketch).

The gorgeous red ribbon is from around a christmas pressy.

Now for the part that I enjoyed the most. This would be adding the swirly scrollwork, I used my versamark pad (long forgotten in a drawer) on another penny black stamp and stamped onto the base card, then using my lovely tray of chalks(also long forgotten in a drawer), I added a mixture of reds/grns/pinks and generally had lots of fun with it. I am sooo going to be using this effect much much more in the near future.

I am entering this card into 6 challenges as follows:-

Teddy Stampers #28 - Anything Goes

Sir Stampalot February Challenge - All Creatures Great and Small (1st entry)

Penny Black at Allsorts February Challenge (1st entry) - Say it with Flowers
