Squiggles Easter Challenge is Here!!

You are just in time for Squiggle Stamps latest Challenge - Come and celebrate 'Easter' with us at Squiggle Stamps. Don't forget that if you use a Squiggles image you get an extra shot on the random.org carousel.
Photo overload!!
Yes the basket does have yummies in it already, still have to get them put away so that no one eats them before they are hidden for 'egg hunt day'.
I have only made the one basket so far and two special tickets for my youngest two kiddies.
I have used some SU card and paper, an xcut lace trim border punch and my flower punches.
This ticket is for ro and the other is for evie. Above is Squigglestamps Hey Dude Stamp and below is Daisy with Bunny Stamp.  They are just perfect for the tickets.
I have coloured with my promarkers and my new su markers.
The basket is stamped with Birdie Bunting by Squigglestamps.
and filled with yummies!
Can't wait for Easter.

Dragons and Butterflies

Thanks Janet from Pink Gem Designs for this gorgeously sweet, sugar wouldn't melt in my mouth wee dragon.
I have used SU 'lucky limeade' card stock and a piece of paper from the SU Designer Series Paper Everyday Enchantment, I thought it was perfectly matched for the dragon scales.
I punched out three small butterflies from the SU cardstock 'pool party' and popped wee gems on them.
I used the sentiment from the SU Swirls and Curls Verses stamp set and layered up using some small green brads.  The ribbon is Baja Breeze from SU again, and yes this was using some of the new stash that I got from my SU party on my birthday.
There are also some butterflies inside to finish off the card.

Thanks

A thank you card for my aunt and uncle down south.  They sent me some lovely writing paper with matching envelopes and a very vintage feel.

Yes I have been playing with my new stampin up papers, aren't they lovely. I also bought some of the stampin up markers with which I coloured in the sentiment.
The image (from pollycraft) is coloured with my promarkers and is so cute! I was going to turn it into an easter card, but know that my aunt loves wee birdies, so it was perfect for her.  I have her birthday card in the pipe line too, so will show that next week.

I even decorated the inside, which I do quite a lot nowadays but don't always remember to take photos.

Little Inventors from Squiggle Stamps for Simon Says, Lollipop Crafts, Cupcake challenges and Top Tip Tuesday

Squiggle stamps Birthday Bash Challenge only has a few more days to go. So here is the wee inventors, perfect for pretty much all young boys, especially those with a penchance for making dens, building outrageous and very wierd space ray guns and of course playing with their best pals.
I have made this card using some papers I bought in a sale a few months ago they are called Take that, Rusty pickle, Shazam, thought the name was great and very funny so had to add zoom, zoom, zoom to the sentiment panel, anyone who has seen that episode of the big bang will know where i am coming from. hehe. Too much caffeine!!!
I have faux stitched and used a small ribbon with stitching along the edges, also 4 red brads from stash and added two legs to the TH rosette. I coloured with my Promarkers and hi-lighted with a white pen.

Challenges
Simon Says - Anything Goes
Cupcake Challenges- The sound of music (fly me to the moon, Zoom, Rocketman where do I stop so many came to mind when making this card lol)
Lollipop Crafts - Anything Goes
Top tip tuesday - Easter or Animals or both

Well thanks so much for looking, I have about 6/7 cards in the pipeline, but got my 'stampin' up' order yesterday so have had no time to put them all together yet. Can't wait to find some free time to play with my new stash, and freebies!!

Take inspiration at Sir Stampalot

So I have had a go at Casing/being inspired by a card, had a bit of a bother as I couldn't find my butterfly stamp and as it was for sir stampalots challenge, I knew that I had to stamp somewhere on the card.  So I have found a swirly stamp made of foam from the kids craft box and stamped it twice, then using my craft knife I cut around (i am so going to buy a swirly die very soon!!)  so that was the stamping, oh and a wee best wishes in the bottom rhs corner.
Next I found some dotty ribbon and made a bow and crossed the card with it.  Then I layered a piece of white card onto a piece of dark blue and stuck on the anita's pearlescent butterfly in similar colours.
Found some suitable buttons and hey presto. Not as good as the original I hasten to add, I completely fell in love with Francesca's card. You can find it here.

So yes it was gorgeously sunny and yes i have got it displayed on a pile of sarking boards.

Jasmine also took some great pictures of the sunset on sunday, she was the official photographer as I didn't want her to do too much as you can probably imagine. Having said that we couldn't have done it without her and she and I are going for a mummy and daughter day out soon as a thank you.
yes it was dark by the time we finished at 8pm!
Will pop another picture on soon of the large green tarpaulin that is adorning our house.
hugs to you all

what a mess!!!

Here I am again, sorry I haven't been around much this last few days, we have been demolishing our old roof, in anticipation of the new one. What a job!

Here are some piccies, cos I know you all love piccies.

The roof that is completed was the extension we put on the house first.
Daughter and hubby
This is the piles of wood etc from when we took the inside of the roof out the weekend before last, the bulging blue tarp attached to our wood shed is holding back dozens of bags of old plaster board and insulation.
Small hole in my living room ceiling hmmm?!
Hole got bigger when hubby put his foot in it Hmmmm?!!
Will Resting!
a beautiful piece of fronding on a sarking board (not sure if I spelt that right) but had to find something aesthetic out of the whole experience.
OK will have to continue in the next post as blogger will not let me put on any more photographs
:-(
