Blue Fairy

Well this image is just gorgeous, why don't I use it more often you may ask, I guess the answer to that is too many stamps and too little time! Hey Ho, stampaholics anonymous here I come.

I have stamped this image using a blue embossing pen as the ink as I have no blue ink pad anymore. The image is from a set purchased yonks ago, so I can't remember the make, possibly DCWV? But am very pleased with the finish of the print, so you can bet you'll be seeing a few more fairies in the near future. The sentiment stamp (layered onto some diecut flowers) is from Pink Gem Designs. Some wonderful stamps and digis in Janet's store, the link is at the bottom of this post.

I have used three DP's (DCWV and Papermania) I followed a sketch and applied some fairy brads (DCWV) to attach the mulberry flowers, which are papermania and prima. The butterfly is from my stash and I used a spellbinders shapeabilities decorative photo corner folder for the top right handside corner, I also embossed this but it is very hard to see in the photo.

I put two lengths of the same ribbon over the pale blue papermania paper and attached with small square blue brads, to add some more texture. Plus of course liberal use of my cats eye pigment chalks for edges.
This card is inspired by the song 'when you wish upon a star' by the blue fairy in Pinocchio.
I do hope you like this card as much as I enjoyed the making.

Presents Bear in Blue for the Winter Wonderland Challenge and Blog Hop

Sorry about the photo, seems like the clouds have appeared, here's a cute little forever friends bear bringing lots of magical pressies. I have coloured with my promarkers and popped a circle out from the image. I have punched out a large snowflake and layered up with a blue flower, a glittery tag and a snowflake brad. I put some bling onto the snowflake and made a simple card which I think has turned out rather well, even though I say so myself (heehee).

Meljens cute little dragon as a CAS Card

This cute lil dragon is by Melissa Jenkins and I have coloured him/her with my PM's. I have carefully cut it out and then stuck down with tiny sticky dots to ensure it doesn't lift off anywhere (so annoying when that happens). A couple of tiny peeloffs complete my CAS card.

Last Gdt for Sparkles Christmas Card Challenge Blog

Well I am so sad and surprised how fast this month has passed. I have thoroughly enjoyed gdt-ing for Sparkles Christmas Card Challenge Blog this month. Last week we had a fabulous photo inspirational photo (which blogger wouldn't let me upload for some reason) and this week the challenge is a nice easy one ' Snowflakes'.
http://christmascardchallenges.blogspot.com

What a busy weekend so far, I am now in the zone for computers and tidying up after Evie's Birthday Party. Such Fun they all had, one of the best parties so far I think, fancy dress and party games. Scrummy cakes and party food and of course lots and lots of noisy fun. What more could you ask for?

So this card is made using a penny black stamped image and I have coloured with my Promarkers. I have used some vellum stickers popped them onto different coloured papers and then cut around them and put them on with pads to lift them off of the card a little. I have used some stickles glitter to adorn her hat etc and have finished with some pale blue ribbon and a bow I made from the same ribbon. I do hope you like her, she was such fun to colour.

Photo inspiration from Sparkle's Christmas Card Challenge Blog

Hallo All of my blogging friends, haven't been feeling too hot (ha) for the last couple of days and have been away from the computer and chillin' out as one might say.

This wonderful image is again from Squiggle Stamps, if you are wondering why I have so many A=I love them to pieces, very cute and easy to colour.
B=I won their march challenge, they don't have them every month, but when they do they are well worth entering, I won £30 of stamps/digis from their website http://www.squigglestamps.com/

Now then this is a Joyfold card, not sure if that is the right name or not, but it has two cards sort of stuck together, one of which opens the wrong way so to speak. Great Fun, thoroughly enjoyed making this one and the image was perfect for my guest dt at Christmas Card Challenge Blog which is a photo inspiration this week. Was going to make cookies, but this image was shouting out to me to make it into a card. So I obeyed, like you do.

I am also entering this card into

Yes Peas, and thanks Spyder

This is a most wonderful image by Spyder, isn't it awesome. Love it and it was great to colour, which I did with my Promarkers.

Must pop over to Spyder to let her know that I have used one of hers as they don't always make it under the camera and are away in the post before I have got organised with piccies.

So I have followed a sketch for this card and have added some die cut corners, which I then blinged up with some fat bulging glitter glue.

Spyders link is http://spyder-spyderscorner.blogspot.com/

I added some lovely little papermania gems to the bottom rhs and used some fibres and a shiny green rhinestone star to entwine around it. The fibre is held in place with some snaps and the 3 small 'peas' on the top lhs corner are from the hole punch out of plain card which I then glittered gently.

I can't tell you how much I love this little alien, he is so cool, must check my next packet of frozen peas to see if I've got one. hee hee

Ok then I am entering this card into

Pretty purses, with flower charm

I have made this card purse using a template and a piece of card 6" x 12". I have added some die cut flowers, some punched out flowers and some bling. The charm I made from a tibetan silver flower charm and two marble beads. This is the first time that I have used this template so it came out quite well I think.

Party Time !!

Nope it still isn't letting me put my writing in the centre of the page peeps, or add colours to my letters or link it properly, ho hum! I have coloured this magical Squigglestamps image with my promarkers and have popped it onto a tag cut with my sizzix dies. The small 'You're Invited' stamp was part of a wonderful candy package that I won quite a while ago. I have attached the tag to an A6 card and have stamped inside with a party stamp for where, when, who, what etc. These are two of Evie's party invites that I have made for her to give to her friends. I think we are going to have lots of hearts, cupcakes, butterflies and a treasure hunt. Cool huh, wish I was little again.

Sweet Pea Flowers and Bling

This is a wee thanks card for a friend of mine, I have used a SweetPea image and coloured with my promarkers. I have added some mulberry flowers and some glittery shiny brads, and some glittery pink papermania shimmer dots. The papers were a freebie and instead of cutting I carefully tore down the blue floral paper to add a little more texture. This is a card I need to post so I have tried to keep it as thin as possible, but not too boring as she likes lots of things going on in her art.

Teenage Musical Dreams

Well here is the 6x6 album that I have made for my nephypoos, course, I can't call him that any more. So so grown up now and I know he will love the album, I have worked the pages around things I remember from when he was younger and a wean. The hedgehogs(PennyBlack) are from his hedgy (cuddly toy I gave him when he was tiny) days. It went everywhere with him. He still has it now.

Of course the middle pages are for all those messy times in his boyhood (naughty or nice?) I used Squigglestamps Little monsters which are wonderful to colour and such fun images. A couple of star charms to finish off and punched circles for journalling.

The last pages are for his 18th birthday bash, which I am assured was wicked fun.

The tags are extras to pop into the openings I have left between sections. Again I have used a squigglestamps image - little explorers one of my sons faves I might add. If you have made it this far well done and I hope you like my male album, I just hope he liked it too!

Peppers Snowman

This is a cute die cut decoupage of pepper and friends, the pack was on offer a couple of months a go and is still a fairly new item of stash to me, the buttons are from my button box, the kanban tartan I bought last year. So that covers the something old something new which is the theme at Try it on Tuesday http://tuesdaytaggers.blogspot.com/2011/05/card-something-old-something-new.html I have faux stitched around the circle with my fine black pen to finish off.

Butterfly Tails

Well what an adorable little doggy, what's that on his tail, is it a monster, nope its a cute little flutterby. This is the wee note book that was in the note book holder of a few days ago, the stickles glitter glue is all dry now and I have coloured with my promarkers added some bling to the chalked flowers and some sticky ribbon. The tartan card is Kanban and the base of the note book was first drawn on with my Versamark pen in swirls and the gently stippled with my pearlescent chalks. Camping, Sun, Sea & lots and lots of fun!

Hello Everyone,

Just wanted to say Hi! I have been away to the coast for a few days having lots of fun with my family and two mad dogs. We took our teepee to the tent site at Lossie and had a few sleepless nights. Frozen tent in the wee hours and very (alcoholic induced possibly) noisy neighbours. Well thats what you get when you go somewhere busy, guess next time we will head for more wild and empty spaces. (our faves anyway) although must say it was great seeing the kids playing in the sea and the sand for a change. We visited Granny, Don and Pepper (mad spaniel loved by my girls Bubbles and Magic) Ate Ice Cream, Pizza and crisps (now I have to attack the wii again to lose the extra weight) Hey ho story of my life!! So I will be visiting everyone again soon, sorry for neglecting you all so long. And for those in the know, Will is getting better albeit slowly from his appendicectomy and can now drive short distances and make his own coffee!!

Hugs to you all and thanks for following (even when I am boring you all with my family doings)
