Riding Santas Reindeer

This gorgeous image is from Pink Gem Designs and I have coloured with my promarkers and highlighted with my white pen. I have used stickles on the fir and snowflakes. I have added a small peel off saying 'mum' to the LHS of image and seasons greetings to the tag. I have followed a sketch and have used mainly papermania 'christmas carol' papers. Embellies abound including - Brads, buttons, flowers, bows and ribbon. I have even found a place on the card to fix the pair of earrings that I have made for her. I just hope that making this card this early isn't asking for trouble, ie me losing card and pressy and having to make again.

I am entering this card into:-
A gem of a challenge #15 - Buttons, Brads, Bows and Beads
I love Promarkers #53 Stitching
Bah-Humbug #8 - Things that fly (Santas reindeer of course)

Wild dash into the unknown .... Hmmm nope just my son on a bike ride

This wonderful LOTV image has been coloured using my promarkers and I have embossed light card and then used my punches to make half a flower frame to the picture. Topped up with the extra gems for a little bling! and two wee butterflies with added red glitter.
This wee booky has been made for Ro to give to Nana at christmas, but didn't want it too christmassy. I will endeavour to get a couple of really good photo's of him out on the many Summer weekend bikerides (during which, I always forget to take photo's!!!)
I made some tiny flowers out of greens and blues with a glittery copper flower bottom layer, which I didn't curl but left flat for a change.
The sun, just for a bit of a laugh is hurling itself through the windows this morning, looovve it! Of course it has made the photo's a little over exposed and lots of shadows, but its lovely today, so not to worry.

Challenges Entered:-
Top Tip #23 - bling it on
Allsorts wk 91 -Inspired by Nature
Incy Wincy 81- Use punches or dies
Southern Girls #13 - bling it on

Sweet Pea 40th

A Happy Birthday card for my sister's 40th, her and her husband are the same four oh this year and are having a joint birthday bash, how much fun is that !
Hope she likes the card, I have used a craftwork template to start and then I have versamarked here and there with the Penny black snow scroll and used my dark pink metallic chalks over it. I have added stickles clear and then popped on strategically placed tiny wee gems.
The butterfly I found with some other similar ones in the bottom of a tray of old embellies. I glitter glued and added some lovely pink gems and attached with a large gem brad.
The sweet pea image has been coloured with my promarkers and I have used stickles on her eyes, lips and the butterfly.
The sentiment has been attached to a piece of debossed glitter card and a small dotty pink ribbon has been wrapped across it. The number are from my stash and the pink rose has been made by me from many layers of hand cut flower shapes, this is all neils fault as his recent valentine atc's gave a great and short tutorial on how to make them. Now of course I am experimenting with allsorts of different things to make the flowers.

I am entering this lovely dress card into the following challenges:-
In a Sweet Pea Dream - Anything Goes
Pollycraft challenge 80 - Special Birthday
Magic in the air- Magical Monday - Shaped card with embossing or texture (glitter and debossed glitter card)

Decoupage Snowy Scene

This is such a lovely scene, the tiny deer and the girl out collecting the last apples of the year, whilst the snow is falling (very late apples indeed if you ask me). I haven't made any christmassy cards for a week or two, so I am slacking terribly.
I have added some buttons and a ribbon and made 3 matching bows. I have added some square gems to the round buttons (RHS) for a change and the buttons on the ribbon are sliders, although I have fixed them in place for this card.
I have used a blue stickles all the way around the frame of the image and have used a clear stickles to highlight areas of the figure.
I am entering this card into the following challenges:0)

Lovey Dovey door hanger

I have called this a door hanger but in all honesty, you could hang it anywhere, currently it is hanging on the end of our bed cos it looks nice. It actually looks a lot brighter in reality, but when I took the photo there was not a lot of sunshine.
I have used Lovey Dovey from Squigglestamps which I coloured with my promarkers and then lightly distressed the white card with pale blue chalk colorbox cats eye. Then I ran it through an embossing folder (papermania I believe) and used a darker blue chalk colorbox cats eye to accentuate the raised areas. I popped a piece of lace ribbon across, tucked under the ends and attached two silk flowers and then a beaded drop effect using some cord which I fixed in place on the back with double sided. The purple ribbon is attached with double sided and a small round DCWV sticker.

Love Bird Wedding Card

This is the card that I came up with to showcase one of the stamps in my thankyou blog candy. I have used Love Birds by Carol Bateup and a sketch to show it off.
I have coloured with my promarkers in a variety of pink shades.
I have added some charms to the bunting which was chalked around the edges first before punching holes in the top portion and threading with metallic thread through each triangle and each charm.
I also made the small flowers from 4 circles (2 for each flower) cut from one of last years christmas cards, each were then put together with a sparkly brad and sprayed with water, then I scrumpled them up and allowed to dry. When dry I fixed with a double sided pad, and added sparkly glitter glue.
I will definitely use this sketch again, I really like the finished effect. This card is for one of my cousins who is getting married this May.
The image below is of the charms that I am adding to my blog candy, please go and add your comment to have a chance to win.

Floral Thanks

A thankyou card for the Less is More Challenge Blog, YES! I managed to make a one layer card. Unbelievable I hear you say, it can't be done by Heidi, but I did it! More to the point I really enjoyed this, I had a rake(look for non scots) thru my stamps and found one that I got from a Docrafts goodybag of all places from the Henbury lane collection.
I have to admit I have only used this once before, but I really like the way this has turned out and I know I put faux stitching around the card and embossed the side, but I had too! It made me.
I stamped the image too far to the right if I'm honest, one of lifes good mistakes as it gave me the option to use a floral embossing folder to compensate.
I have coloured with my promarkers and my chalks and also edged with my chalks.
I am sharing this card with
Less is More Challenge 2 - One layer card using a tree or flower image
Incy Wincy #81 - Colour me wonderful, use mixed mediums
Top Tip Tuesday #22 - All Stitched Up
Thanks for popping over & before you go check out my mini candy up for grabs HERE or on the sidebar, I know it's only little but check the next post (when I get it on) for a couple of cards using the stamps (not the ones in the candy, but duplicates that I have) So you can see how lovely they stamp. Oh and I have used a charm or two which will also be included with the candy.

Happy Birthday Tag in Strawbs, Chocs and Cream

I have used a Meljens Designs Image to make this special tag for my bro-in-law who is 40 this year. (just thought that I would drop that in hehe)
Ihave coloured with my promarkers and have used my white pen for highlighting. I added stickles to the balloons and the stars and the wee dots. I used a variety of ribbons to continue the colour theme and mounted on some mirror card to give it some more strength.
I was really pleased with the way the balloons came out as I had coloured a little differently to my norm, starting with the red on the outside and ending on the highlight in the centre rather than on a top edge.

It's fun to have fun with your colours, hope you like it, I am entering this tag into the following challenges
Creatalicious Challenge 19 - Create something for a male, add 3 stars and include the colour brown. (this image actually had 3 stars in it, how perfect is that)
Allsorts Wk 90 - It's all about the sentiment

A WEE LITTLE CANDY as a thankyou to my followers

I know these are not huge stamps, but they are very cute, and I love them.

They are from Squiggle stamps who have a lovely variety of stamps and digi images. I am also adding a bag of charms to go with the stamps as a little extra.

This little candy is open world wide to my followers as I am so grateful to you for 'following' and all you have to do is

a) post this on your sidebar with a link back to my blog

and

b)leave me a comment.

It won't be stuck at the top as I haven't worked out how to do that yet! But I will be putting it in my sidebar as well so that it is visible to any visitors.

Now then, I will get my son to pick the winning comment on the 1st March after school so the candy will close on the 28th February midnight, so no slipping an extra comment in after that time as it will not be put into the draw.

You are all really great and I love you all, thanks for following me, I never thought when I started to do this 'blogging' that I would ever get any more than ten followers. So you all 'make my day' just by being there. Thanks everyone.

Love 'n' Hugs

PS, I will be putting up some birthday candy at the end of Feb as my birthday is in March, and I am a bit hobbit-like in that I think it is nice to give pressies on birthdays and not just receive. Hugs X

Edited to add a photo of the extra charms

Wonderland love wishes

This is just a quick post to show you the card I made for one of my daughters, Tishy. I used Alice in wonderland, who is actually called Miss Evie Wonderland from Squiggle stamps. I found a wee hairclip with a white rabbit on it and also made a wee charm for her. I have coloured her in with my promarkers and have hi-lighted with a white pen. I followed a sketch and made my own flowers. The sentiment is perfect cos she always makes me smile, and obviously I had to add some bling and some hearts to let her know how much I love her. Of course now I do have to make three more so there is no outbreak of fighting in the ranks, he ho.
I have found a large number of challenges to enter this card into as follows:-
Paperplay Challenge '11 wk6 - Hearts and Flowers but no valentine
Rainbow Lady's Challenge 139 - It's all about Love

Be My Valentine ATC's

Well I have finished my ATC Banner for my Hubby, hope he likes it after all this hiding each one sometimes very carefully cos they have still been wet.
I have got lovely and messy, with my chalks, inks, glossy glues and various other sticky icky lovely stuff.

So thanks Neil for thinking up such a fun project. Have thoroughly enjoyed myself.
Here are a few other pics (rather a lot so you might need a cuppa) and a wee bit of info on making each one.
This 'B' ATC is made using versamark onto a script rubber stamp, then a light coloured chalk over it, next using my stazon I stamped an image of two birds. The letter is made from a square of newspaper printed card. I cut out the black card and stuck it to the newspaper print to form a shadow image, I glittered with stickles and sprinkled small beads accross it (sorry don't have any micro beads). Added a wee heart attached witha pearl brad.
The 'E' ATC is made by this time versamarking the atc first, then applying various coloured chalks diagonally. I stamped down one side with a small stamp and tied in the effect on the E that I cut out from card and inked with a terracotta (pale). The butterfly is a sizzix die, which has been embossed and altered again with inks and chalks.
The 'M' atc has been embossed and then chalked, the flower made as per Neils Instructions (Here) The tag I used is one from a dragon/fairy pack that I have in my stash and the M is from a stick on pack, that I have then silver matt coloured.
The 'Y' atc has been gently coloured (one half) with a peachy chalk and then stamped with white ink and then stamped again with the 'with love' sentiments on top. I have added another wee heart charm and a swirl that I have carefully cut out after stamping the shape onto plain card. The 'y' is hand cut from corrugated cream card, onto that I have then used silver inks and chalks
The 'V' atc again has been embossed and pigment inked, the wee pic is from a HOTP booklet from ages ago, the wee heart I snaffled from an old broken bracelet. The V has been handcut from glitter card then glittered and chalked.
The 'A' atc has been versamarked with a script stamp and chalked. The Roses have been added with Stazon. The flower as before (See Here) for how to make. The 'a' is covered with copper glitter and a Mother of Pearl heart added to the top rhs corner.
The 'L' cut from card again and the heart from mirror card and stamped with a fairy image with stazon. I cut out a crown which I covered with black glue and small metallic beads. The base of the atc is lightly checkered which was done by covering certain areas and then chalking what was left and moving these around, then stamped over with a whispers stamp in 'butterscotch' using my penny black snow scroll.
The 'E' atc I made from some 12 x 12 sheets. A whole piece and then added some strips. The die cut sizzix butterfly is cut from gold card then embossed, then glue and metallic beads added. The 'E' has been made with the same idea as the 'B' but using black glue and metallic beads filling the blank spaces.
The 'N' has been made using a stick on n from a pack and stippled with red plastic paint. The atc has been gently embossed and chalked, then the frame was hand cut from card and tinted using inks and a sentiment stamped and a piece of fibre attached.
The 'T' atc has been embossed and then chalked. The T has been made from card , inked and then corrugated, and again another gorgeous home made flower (by the way, I cut each of these layers out by hand for each of the flowers, but the effect is brilliant)
The 'I' atc was the most messy and the one I am least happy with, but here goes, an image stamped on the atc and then painted around the edge with green, allowed to dry and chalked over in many pinks and purples. The butterfly has been silvered and the 'I' was coloured with greens and blues (chalks), then gently varnished to glisten.
The 'N' atc has strips added from the sheets of the 'E' atc. The N & Heart has been coloured with red/orange ink and stamped with a wee heart. The heart was cut from card and the N also.
The 'E' atc has been put together from two atc's, I have embossed one, then attached half of the other after carefully tearing it apart, this side was peach coloured and the embossed side was very gently brushed with chalk. The E was hand cut and then glittered, and then another die cut butterfly with dark reds and terracotta inks.

At last this is the last one, an exclamation mark. Gently chalked atc, with a stamped coloured image (coloured with promarkers) and highlighted with my white pen. The ! has been cut from corrugated cream card, inked red, then glittered.
Thanks for bearing with me, if you made it this far. Hope you like them, I have enjoyed this little challenge and am now going to post it and link it to :-
