All at sea over you

I found this quote by Shakespeare and decided to make a card inspired by its verse. I have followed a sketch and used a gorgeous Sweet Pea image coloured in with my PMs. I added three buttons which are fantastic parrots ( a little piratical!) The sketch with its two triangles reminded me of the flags that a ship/boat uses to signal other sea goers.

Around the image I used a lovely fringy fibre to simulate a little movement. As I write the wind is picking up here and all the trees are creaking, sounds very like being on an old boat in a high sea, well at least how they portray it on the tv anyway.

I drew faux stitching along my 'flags' and put a pale blue insert inside, with faux stitching along its edges.

My sketch card for Less is more

This is so far taking a long time to get onto my blog, lots of interruptions, never mind eh. This is a cute little hedgy penny black that I have popped onto a gold card and followed the less is more sketch for this week. I have coloured with my Promarkders and have used two pieces of my new ribbon (obtained from an old bag). I popped three square gems on at an angle cos I thought they looked nicer this time as a diamond shape.

I am entering this card into:

Phindy's place challenge 49 - all about animals

Hope you like my small offering, will get moving again as soon as time allows and make something a bit more substantial.

Thanks for looking

Space Adventurer

Well this is a card that my son loves. The image is one that he chose from Squiggle Stamps for his friends birthday card, only mummy has to find out how old he is going to be before she puts on a sentiment and number.
The two stamps I bought in a secondhand/antique shop which also has wee baggies of stamps and other trinkets, these spacy stamps were perfect to go with the image, so they came home with me.
I have embossed the dark pearlescent brown card and also the gold metallic card and have added a wee gold/orange ribbon to add a little more texture, the ribbon came with one of my recent birthday pressies,
The wee satellite is made from headpins, tibetan silver beads and goldstone, a wee bit of tigerseye and another agate (not sure which one). Then I fixed them together with a brad.
I have as is my norm coloured with promarkers and have hi-lighted with a white pen and edged here and there with my colourbox chalkeyes.

PS. Sorry forgot to say which song. It's either 'major tom' which gets my vote or 'star trekking across the universe, only going forwards cos we can't find reverse' such a fun song xx

Green Tea

Well here is my tea box for Willie's Peppermint/Green Tea Bags. I used exactly one sheet of 12x12 to cover it and then simply coloured this wonderful Sugar Nellie image with my promarkers, cut her out and stuck her on with double sided tape.
Please bare in mind that this box was designed to be as minimal as possible as he was in hospital at the time of giving!

I have found a couple of challenges (sat and browsed them last night) to enter:-

Crafty Purple Frog - Going Green
Fab'n'Funky #64 - All things green
A Gem of a Challenge - Anything but a square
Hope you are all keeping well and those of you who are nae well, hope you are better soonest.

Miss Evie birthday wishes

Well here we have the gorgeous miss evie from squiggle stamps she is coloured with promarkers and I have used a sketch and some DCWV papers and my woodware punch for the flowers which I then wetted after putting them to gether with a brad and then scrunched, when dry added glitter and popped onto card. The wee golden leaf brads are from my old stash and the miss evie is a recent acquisition. I used a clear vellum sticker for the sentiment.
I made this card in these colours specifically for the sir stampalot challenge as I missed one of the rules on how many challenges you could enter at the same time. I have to admit that I was so glad to get my computer connection running again that I inadvertedly tried to enter my last but one card to the challenge plus umpteen other challenges which generally I don't do, never mind, overloaded with spring themes etc. But this time 'B' I have not entered more than five challenges including sir stampalot. Sorry!!

This card is for my god-daughter who is 14 this year in a weeks time.

Hallo again, just little old me with another card. This one is for my cousin in law's 50th birthday (same day as mine) that is coming up this month. I have coloured with promarkers and followed another sketch. I've used some DCWV Glitter card and kanban tartan. Also some basic orange and brown matting and layering card/paper. The ribbon is a sticky backed one from my old old stash, and I used my nestabilities for the eyelet circle.
Sorry about the photo's have not photographed a twisted easel card before, it's not easy is it!
