Happy Happy New Year to all my blogging friends....

I wish you all a very Happy, Healthy and wonderful new year. Thanks to all of you for your kind and inspiring comments and communique especially those that have become good blogging buddies during this last year,  you know who you are. Lots of good wishes winging their way to you all.

I am hoping that everyone in our house this year will manage to see in the new year. It usually ends up with just me sweeping out the old and welcoming in the new. Fingers crossed! Something kind of wonderful in it all.

Today is also our 13th Wedding Anniversary so we have our bubbly already opened. Although hubby is couch potato-ing it at the moment with the kids and watching the Pirates on Tv, good old Jack sparrow and his cronies, never fail to make you smile.  Have to admit we have been good today, had a lovely walk up the hill (all of us for a change!) and will go again tomorrow weather permitting. So now we can tuck into our scrummy snacks without feeling too naughty. hehehe.

Special 50th Birthday

This is a special card for a family member, I have used lots of stash from so many different locations, including markets, LOTV, Stampin Up, Hot off the press, DCWV and have coloured with my promarkers. 

I do hope you all had a lovely christmas day, we did, lots of fun with the little ones and loads of putting the toys together (lego hero factory and sylanians this year!!! Plus a punch bag for the eldest go figure?!?)

LOTV Puppies

Here is this cute little LOTV puppy again, he is so adorable, have coloured with my promarkers and attached the recycled ribbon with a large spotty dotty brad.

Layered onto freebie paper and handpressed pale green paper with punched border.

This little puppy is also coloured with promarkers and has a red ribbon attached witha gold snowflake, layered onto pretty christmas papers and freebie red paper.

Carol singing Squiggles and giggles

Thanks for popping over to look at these numerous similar cards, I have not put all of my christmas cards on line over the last month cos some of them were identical batches. With these last few cards I  will make my countdown to zero so I will have managed my goal by the skin of my teeth!!

I have used Squiggle digi carol singers again on this one, some dotty ribbon attached with a dotty brad and some pretty vintage paper and tartan freebie paper. More stickles and have coloured with my promarkers.

Squigglestamps Oscar on Sledge

Meet Oscar on his sledge.  Coloured with my promarkers and stickled. Attached to two layers of freebie paper and then layered on to a satin ribbon. I have popped on a couple of papermania and was getting so carried away with the glittery glues I added some gorgeous bright yellow to their centres.

Squigglestamps Daisy with snowflake

hello Daisy with Snowflake, I have coloured her in with my promarkers and have liberally stickled.  The red ribbon is as before (recycled) attached with a glorious green square brad., layered onto some red freeby paper and some hand pressed pale green paper, this has a lovely texture but am afraid light has been terrible up here the last few days so couldn't get a good close up. sorry.

Carol singers for christmas time

These cute litttle carol singers are from SquiggleStamps and for the month of December all digis come with a 20% discount.

The red base paper is from papermania, the tartan papers are an ancient freebie and the red ribbon is a recycled wrapping from some choccies (they never made it to christmas HOHOHO) I have attached with a green brad. I have coloured with my Promarkers and edged with chalks.

Christmas LOTV puppy time

This is one of my last batch of christmas cards, This is a lovely little puppy dog looking for his christmas treats.  I treated myself to this lotv when they had a free p&p day. Bargain!

I have coloured with my promarkers, used a red ribbon and a snowflake brad to attach. I have used my heart border punch on the cream first layer and have attached the stamped image to a tartan freebie paper from yonks ago.

A miss evie christmas card from our miss evie!!

This is a gorgeous miss evie digi, that my youngest daughter Evie has used for her christmas card to her nana and grampsy this year. I am sharing it with you cos I thought she did a really good job, although if I am honest I helped her with the border punch!

Now then she is coloured in with promarkers and evie has used some of my dotty green (honest) ribbon, has punched a couple of flowers out and added big red gems to their centres.  The large green flower is a poundland felt flower.

Little Elf Boy

Do you know i think that this is my darn colds fault, all my piccies are crooked, can't blame the kiddies for this one, I did it all on my own.ho hum. I have coloured this magical little Squiggles elf in with my Promarkers and have slightly altered the sketch from the last weeks challenge. The current challenge is Celebrate and will continue until january.

Squiggles Gatefold for christmas

A Christmas Gatefold with this wonderful squiggles image called 'Cosy Goth Girl'. Thoroughly enjoyed making this simple yet effective and i think lovely card. This really was a less is more card but probably not enough less is more for me to ever enter their challenges with it.

I coloured her with my promarkers and used a single layered flower from poundland of all places. I used a border punch on the green bazil card.  The flower also acts as a catch to hold the card together when flat.

I have made this card for my husband, as it is our anniversary on 31st December.  So have used the oh so cute penguin called 'Chilli' from Squiggle Stamps.  He is lovely to colour and so sweet!

Shaped christmas card

This lovely lady is definitely ready with the christmas spirit!

I have coloured her with promarkers and have used a sizzix die cut to sort of frame her and a fun sticker for sentiment. The wee rose is of course a marianne creatable, love these. To finish on this side I added lots of lovely glitter.

The Squiggle Stamps 'Cats Chorus' is a recycled atc from a little while ago, I felt this needed more than just being an atc, so I used it on one of the other sides. I made a wee tag and popped it behind the image, with the words 'noel' which I thought appropriate for carol singers.

I have made another easel card with calendar, I have coloured with my Promarkers and have used my spellbinders dies for the circles/shapes. I have used some wee punches for the flowers and a couple of leaves from the marianne creatables rose dies.

The little elf girl is from here and the gems are papermania.

The box that I made is just beautiful and again same gems and punches.

SquiggleStamps Sketch - Halfway Reminder

This is my offering this fortnight for the Squiggle Stamps Saturday Challenge. We have a lovely sketch for you this time around and we would be really happy to see your take on it. You can flip it or rotate it, so long as we can still see the basic sketch.

I have coloured this cute little gingerbread girl in using my promarkers and have generously splattered the stickles glitter on her. I have used glitter card and a ribbon with glitter and gold edging.

The small brads are colour co- ordinated with the roses, these are marianne creatable roses they look brilliant and i used coordinations card to make them. Then i used my white pen to create some faux stitching on the leaves.  Then of course i added some sparkle.

Sweet Pea Stamp Fairy of the Night and a sparkly blue chrissy card

This gorgeous Sweet Pea Stamp is called 'Fairy of the Night', I coloured her in using my promarkers in soft and subtle colours as I felt she seemed almost fragile. I used the blues, purples, pinks and pale oranges of the early morning. I coupled her with an offset oval sizzix die cut, some sheer ribbon with embossed stars, some tiny flower, circle, snowflake(large) and heart brads and a gorgeous light amber gem.

I think she turned out quite surreal.

Right, I know I know, I am very late, especially if you thought you would see this on saturday afternoon. What can I say. Life really did get in the way, how dare it!!

Anyhoo, Rowan had a  really fun birthday and fun birthday weekend, fireworks, roasted marshmallows and lots of friends and yummy food.  Really must do this getting together thingy more often.

Now onto the sweet stuff....

Uh oh another calendar card

This cute little image is another squiggles and is called gingerbread girl. I have even made a box for this calendar card. I know what was I thinking just make more work for myself, but I felt they really needed a little extra packaging, not just an envelope.

I have coloured this with my promarkers and have punched out flowers, diecuts, used pretty red gems and glitter. The sentiment circle is a LOTV.

My project today is a bookmark, using the fabby image called Elf Girl  by Evelina Wikberg, such a cutie.  I used some of my fave christmas paper/card by helz cuppleditch and some pretty ribbon my mum in law gave me last year. I cut out the diecut with a nestabilities and edged with chalks.

A cute little mousy card

Just a Quicky, this card is made mainly from co-ordinations paper, I have cut out some 'marianne' swirly flowers and have roughed up all the edges.

I used promarkers to colour the image and used a piece of my fancy ribbon, I don't use this very often heehee.

Gorjuss birthday card inspired by a song

Hallo everyone, something a little different today, not christmassy for a change although there may be a chance to add some more later.  I have coloured this 'gorjuss' with my promarkers and have followed an old sketch from the sugar bowl.  I used a pretty magnolia bling and some punched out leaves for embellies and added a wee tibetan silver star.

The 'make a wish' is obviously because of the star and this is a birthday card for a friend's daughter.

The papers are some freebies from a magazine that I bought ages ago and they have been lurking in my paper cupboard all this time, terrible I know, but we are all guilty of stashing stash and not using it. ho hum.
